Kimberley Dynamiters defenseman Nick Hughes has signed on to the University of Victoria Vikes for next season.
Hughes has had a strong year on the blueline, tallying 35 points in 41 games.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to continue my career at the University of Victoria,” said Hughes.
“My leadership abilities and hockey IQ improved this season. Being an alternate captain helped me improve my leadership skills and I worked on my hockey IQ through our on and off-ice training and feedback provided.”
He started his KIJHL career with the Columbia Valley Rockies and Sicamous Eagles before joining the Nitros.
He’ll join the Vikes this fall.
