Defenceman Stefan Bodtker is set to be a Jimmie after signing with the University of Jamestown.
The 19-year-old had 19 assist with the rockets in 44 games this season.
Rockets head coach Jed Houseman says Bodtker has been a great player to coach and sees him excelling with the Jimmies.
“He always has a tremendous work ethic on and off the ice. The University of Jamestown is fortunate to land a player with an elite level skating ability, and even better character as a person,” said Houseman.
“Bodtker has developed a lot in the last couple of seasons, and I think that trend will continue as he grabs more confidence year over year. He has proven to be an impactful defenceman at the KIJHL level, but he was also impactful as a teammate and leader.”
Bodtker spent two seasons with the Rockets.
The Jamestown Jimmies have signed a number of KIJHL players over the years including Dynamiters captain Trey Stephenson earlier this month.
