Radium residents will have a chance to voice their opinions on the community’s draft Official Community Plan early next month.
The draft OCP will be released when the public engagement period begins on Dec. 2 with a public survey.
An open house will also take place on Dec. 3 at the Radium Hot Springs Centre from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
A staff member will be giving a presentation on the draft OCP.
For those who can’t attend in person an online open house will go ahead the next day from 7- p.m.
The village received lots of ideas from the public over the spring and summer and Mayor Mike Gray says it will be the defining document for the future of the community.
“The Radium official community plan just feels like it’s got the energy that it needs right now,” said Mayor Mike Gray.
“This should be a transformational OCP for us, it isn’t just an update. We are looking at this to be an inspirational document that takes our village forward for the next two decades.”
Gray anticipates that the OCP project will be completed in early 2025.
