Rosters for the British Columbia Hockey Conference prospects game have been chosen as the KIJHL and PJHL get set to clash on Nov. 19.
The best players from both leagues will face off in a match showcasing their talent to Western Hockey League scouts.
The Castlegar Rebels have two players who made the team, defenseman Ben Filippone and forward Brayden Rotash.
Elsewhere in the Neil Murdoch Division, forwards Phoenix Flett and Ryker Rougeau were selected from the Grand Forks Border Bruins.
In the Eddie Mountain Division Luke Davies of the Kimberley Dynamiters and Berkley Gross of the Creston Valley Thunder Cats made the forward group.
Fernie Ghostriders head coach Chad Scharff is serving as assistant coach.
“It’s an honour to do it and I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
Scharff says these opportunities are a learning experience that helps him become a better coach.
“I put my name forward for these types of things to be able to work with other coaches,” he added.
“I learn as much as I can to learn from the other guys and take things I like and don’t like and bring them back to the club here.”
The BCHC prospects game is scheduled for Nov. 19 in Langley.
