The District of Sparwood is reviewing its recreation fees and charges and will be collecting the public’s thoughts over the next couple of months.
The district has teamed up with RC Strategies to help draft a fees and charges review.
Stephen Slawuta with RC Strategies said they will launch a community survey soon.
“Our goal now is to engage with the community and all the groups. We’ll be looking to do that over the next couple of months,” he said.
“We’re working with staff to get that finalized and tightened up.”
He said there will be multiple ways residents can access the survey.
“Through the web on a project page, social media and some paper copies,” he added.
“Not everybody does the web thing and we want to be as accessible as possible.”
They will also be meeting directly with local user groups.
“We’ll have a number of direct discussions in person and virtual with facility user groups to hear them out and get their perspectives on fees and charges.”
The findings of the survey will be shared late this year and the draft fees and charges reviews should be completed in early 2025.
