Eight Kimberley residents will be vying for one empty councillor seat this September.
The seat was left vacant after Steven Royer stepped down for personal reasons back in April.
The candidates running are Cody Courtenay, Tamara Duggan, Derek Etmanski, Diana Fox, Craig Janzen, Scott Macleod, William McKerrow and Christopher Millner.
“We’re mid-term, so this a really good opportunity for people who might want to dip their toe into what it’s like to be on council without the four-year commitment,” said Mayor Don McCormick.
Advance polling will be open on September 11 and 18, ahead of general voting day on September 21.
Voters can cast their ballots at Centennial Hall from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all voting days.
