New sanitary sewer lines are being installed near Fernie’s Elkview Crescent ahead of future construction.
City staff said Parastone Developments Ltd. is behind the installation of the new infrastructure.
The new line will run towards CP Rail and Cokato Road and represents the first part of a larger project set to come in the future.
After this line is installed, crews will begin working on a new sewer main to service future properties in the Montane development and the subsequent Montane Parkway.
