Both the Fernie Ghostriders and the Kimberley Dynamiters have been making trades ahead of the 2024/25 regular season.
The Ghostriders traded defenceman Eli Neilsen to the Sicamous Eagles for forward Luke Rothfos.
Neilson put up six goals and eight assists for the Ghostriders in 41 games last season.
Rothfos was a Dynamiter for 31 games last year before a mid-season trade to the Eagles. He tallied 40 points in 44 games.
The Dynamiters are adding some forward depth by trading goaltender Ryder Ponto for Bennett Kuhnlein.
Ponto played 16 games last season and registered a 2.35 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
Kuhnlein tallied four goals and eight assists in 44 games for the West Kent Steamers of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
