The City of Cranbrook is keeping with Stage 2 watering restrictions as the Phillips Reservoir keeps up with demand.
Mayor Wayne Price says the public has been a lot more open to conserving water this year.
“The residents are for sure buying into this. The consumption is down considerably,” said Mayor Wayne Price.
“People are taking this very seriously and being proactive. There are not very many lawns in town that are fully green right now.”
Last year, the city found Cranbrook residents used nearly double the daily amount of water compared to the rest of the province.
The Phillips Reservoir also reached all-time low levels.

Under Stage 2 water restrictions, even-numbered properties may water on Monday and Thursday and odd-numbered properties can water on Tuesday and Friday.
Watering times are for two hours between 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. or 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
