Stay Safe
With fire activity increasing across the region, now is a good time to sign up for the Regional Evacuation Notification System (ENS) powered by Voyent Alert! or if you are already signed up, ensure that your location(s) is correctly placed.
The ENS notifies residents and property owners only in case of evacuation orders or alerts during critical events such as wildfires, floods, or hazardous materials incidents. This system is critically important in emergencies. It provides immediate notification when every second counts.
For instructions on how to sign up for the service and receive notifications by phone, both to landlines and mobile phones or via a dedicated app, visit the RDEK Emergency Information page HERE.
Residents are reminded to report smoke and any sign of wildfire through the BC Wildfire app or by calling 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 for cell phones. Stay up to date by regularly visiting www.bcwildfire.ca.
