The Cranbrook Bucks have signed forwards Jake Skogstad and Samuel Lyne for the upcoming season.
Lyne played four games for the Bucks during the playoffs and is now officially joining the team.
The Chelmsford, England native previously played for Northwood School of the USHS prep program and tallied 35 points in 57 games.
“Sam is a player that we were attracted to over the course of last season after watching his evolution as a player,” said head coach and GM Ryan Donald.
“He has a unique blend of size and skill that allows him to impact the game in a number of ways. He plays a physical game, is willing to get into hard areas of the ice, and can contribute on special teams as well. We look forward to helping him refine his game and have a successful college career.”
Skogstad is from Kelowna and was a point-per-game player last season at the Rink Hockey Academy. He put up 34 points through 30 games.
“Jake’s leadership qualities, his ability to play a 200-foot game and be relied upon to play both sides of the puck is exciting to work with,” Donald said.
“We are excited to have Jake join our organization and help him continue his growth and development towards becoming an NCAA D1 athlete.”
