Property tax notices for Elkford residents have been mailed out and are due on July 2.
The average single-family home was assessed at $340,000 in Elkford and residents will see an average tax increase of $187 and a utility increase of $44.
Notices were mailed out in mid-May and if you haven’t received yours yet you’re asked to contact the district office as soon as possible.
Payments must be made before the deadline to avoid late fees.
Residents can also apply for homeowner grants to help lower the cost.
However, they can no longer be done through a municipal office. You will have to apply directly to the Province of British Columbia.
