The second Woodcarver Days is set to go ahead this weekend in Radium Hot Springs to raise money for Woodcarver Park.

Mayor Mike Gray said the future park will pay tribute to the once-iconic Home with a Thousand Faces.

“After the woodcarver’s house in Radium was lost to a fire, the dream had always been to replace that area with Woodcarver Park,” said Gray.

“The Radium Village Arts and Culture Society started Woodcarver Days as a fundraiser to raise the money they need to create their vision for the Park.”

The park will eventually be constructed on the site of the former Home with a Thousand Faces.

Gray said Woodcarver Days is a fun community event for residents and visitors to enjoy while supporting a good cause.

“We’ll have the lumberjack demonstrations, there’s typical festival things like bouncy castles for the kids and lots of displays, crafts for sale and lots of food available,” said Gray.

You can visit the event on Saturday, May 11 from noon to 5 p.m. and you can get tickets here.
