The College of the Rockies is getting ready to welcome back students for the fall semester with orientation day set to go ahead on Tuesday.
College officials said they will have a variety of events to ring in the semester, welcoming in new and returning students.
“Come join us for a variety of events to celebrate the beginning of the fall 2023 semester,” said College officials. “Enjoy the activities and don’t forget, September 6th, 2023, is the first day of classes.”
Student Housing Coordinator Elicia Murray said the first week is all about getting the students into their dorms and classes.
“For the most part, students are moving in and getting cozy and settled,” said Murray.
A number of foreign students have also enrolled at the College of the Rockies.
“This year, we have some really great programming. We really want to bring people from diverse communities together,” said Murray.
About 20 international students are living in residence at the college.
The college also boasts new student housing, which has already started taking up residents.
“They’re beautiful and we’re happy they were built to passive house standards and they’re super efficient,” said Murray. “We’re really happy and proud to be able to double our occupancy.”
