A cyclist in the Tour Divide competition was recovered by Fernie Search and Rescue over the weekend.
Officials with Fernie SAR said the competitor was in the Flathead area when they suffered from a medical emergency on Saturday.
A ground team was dispatched with air support, and the cyclist was recovered.
They were taken to an awaiting B.C. Ambulance Service crew, who then took the person to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
