Columbia Valley RCMP is looking into a cache of stolen items and suspected drugs found inside two stolen utility trailers, attached to two vehicles that were also stolen.
According to police officials, an officer was patroling the community on Tuesday evening when they found a pair of pickup trucks, each with an enclosed utility trailer attached, near the Athalmer Road boat launch.
Upon further inspection, the officer confirmed the black Ford F150, black Dodge Ram and both utility trailers were stolen from other areas.
A search of both vehicles and trailers revealed even more stolen property and what police officials suspect to be a controlled substance.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbia Valley RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
