Invermere Health Care Auxiliary Donation Supports Hospital Equipment Needs

The East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) has received more than $124,000 from Invermere’s Health Care Auxiliary for medical equipment upgrades at hospitals in Invermere and Golden.

Donating a total of $124,117.60 to EKFH, the majority of the funds went to support equipment needs at the Invermere and District Hospital.

$115,848 went to equipment purchases in Invermere while $8,269.60 supported equipment for the Golden and District Hosptial.

“Included in the funding was the purchase of a new portable ultrasound machine for the Invermere and District Hospital at a hefty price tag of $76,400,” said Brenna Baker, Executive Director of EKFH. “All of the funds raised come from a very successful Thrift Store that these amazing people operate in Invermere.”

The East Kootenay Foundation for Health is thanking the Invermere Health Care Auxiliary for their “unweaving support” to improve health care in the region.
