Cranbrook fire department snuffs out tent fire

Cranbrook fire and emergency services has extinguished a tent fire on the edge of city limits.

Four firefighters responded to the blaze on April 23 at around 7 p.m.

The fire was extinguished quickly and was contained to an area on private land adjacent of Moir Park.

“There were no injuries as a result of the fire,” said fire chief Scott Driver.

“Due to the extent of the localized damage, the cause and origin of the fire was unable to be determined.”

The fire department wants to thank the public for the quick reporting of the fire.
