The City of Cranbrook has received grant funding from the province to support ongoing infrastructure condition assessments for capital planning.

The city applied for the funding in late 2024 and it will help cover staff wages as they collect infrastructure condition data for city parks, water and sewer infrastructure.

The data collection project will help staff create a prioritized list of assets needing immediate attention.

Staff will be able to prepare capital plans and preventative maintenance schedules with that information.
