The Kimberley Dynamiters are hoping home ice will get them back in their series after going down 2-0 to the Grand Forks Border Bruins.
The Nitros lost 6-4 on Friday and 6-0 on Saturday.
Head coach Derek Stuart says they played well in the first game but were too undisciplined in Game 2.
“I thought Game 1 was fairly even, two good teams and a part from a six or seven minute lull we were really good, but made a few too many defensive mistakes,” he said.
“Game 2 we just lost our composure, took far too many penalties and pretty much handed them the win.”
Game 3 is on Tuesday in Kimberley.
Stuart thinks their record on home ice this season will help them get back in this series.
“It’s a huge advantage for us. Their home rink was a big advantage for them and we feel ours is a huge advantage for us,” he added.
“We’re very excited to get a game going here tomorrow night on home ice and get back into the series.”
Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
