The City of Cranbrook is looking for the public’s feedback on a number of initiatives including curbside collection and potential locations for a new gymnastics facility.

The first survey launched today and is open to all residents, and will be open until April 25.

The second is a statistically valid survey that has been mailed to 1,600 residents.

The surveys focus on curbside collection, getting feedback on garbage and recycling collection, including frequency, container sizes and the potential addition of organics collection.

The city is also looking for feedback before council decides on a location for a new gymnastics club that may also include child care services.

“One of the key strategic priorities of this Council focuses on leadership and organizational excellence, as found in the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. A major goal within this strategic priority is to engage deeply and effectively within our community,” says Mayor Wayne Price.

“Like the public engagement undertaken ahead of our 2025 budget discussions, we are again reaching out to residents on these important new initiatives to provide Council with your feedback. We hope you will take a few moments to review this information and share your opinions with us.”

The online public survey can be found here. Paper copies can also be picked up from city hall.
