Panorama Mountain Resort will celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community on the slopes with its second annual Pride & Ski festival, featuring a celebrity drag queen guest.
“It’s a way for us to showcase the mountain and celebrate diversity,” said Food and Beverage Manager Cory Archer.
“Our first year was a massive success, so it was a no-brainer to bring it back this year and make it bigger.”
Archer says the resort will bring in a celebrity drag queen to headline the Saturday evening ball.
“We’re bringing back a star from RuPaul’s Drag Race, who will be Jujubee this year,” said Archer.
“It’s something truly special to bring a celebrity like that into Panorama and to a smaller community and really showcase the talent.”
The event kicks off on Thursday, but the main events, including the Drag Ball, happen on Saturday.
“This is about showcasing diversity and making sure everyone knows the mountains are for everyone,” said Archer.
“There is plenty to do, even if you don’t ski or snowboard. There will be activities all around the lower mountain and the rest of the resort.”
