Cranbrook’s public works will begin sweeping outside lanes and boulevards along Highway 3 and Victoria Avenue over the coming weeks.
Crews will start along Highway 3 on Monday, March 17, with work going on from 8 am to 3 pm for the next few weeks.
“Cleaning will begin with the northeast lanes of Highway 3 at 6th Street North, near the Days Inn Hotel, before proceeding north towards 22nd Street North,” said the City.
“When the northeast lanes are cleaned, crews will then circle back down the southwest lanes of Highway 3 heading towards 3rd Street South.”
Once Highway 3 is clean, crews will move on to cleaning Victoria Avenue.
City officials say cleaning will impact traffic, but crews will conclude major operations in the morning.
Drivers may see some intermittent lane closures while sweeping crews are active.
“Please be mindful of crews working to clean up the boulevards and streets and obey all signage or flagging crews that may be on location,” said the City.
