The City of Cranbrook has implemented spring load restrictions to protect local roadways from thawing frost.
Most streets in the community are limited to 70 per cent legal axel loading.
Certain streets will see a larger reduction down to 50 per cent. Signage will be in place to notify drivers.
Some main roads will still allow 100 per cent legal axel loading to accommodate commercial and industrial deliveries.

The city will make some exceptions. Applications can be made for an overload or oversize permit through the city on a single-load basis.
