Cranbrook resident now have access to 13 different language options as the city looks to improve accessibility options.
All of the city’s websites, including the municipal website, Western Financial Place and Canadian Rockies International Airport now have access to full translation.
City staff say translation access was identified as one of the main barrier to the public when they were working on their accessibility and inclusion framework.
The available languages include: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Ukrainian, traditional
Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Thai, Arabic and Malayalam.
City staff say the 2022 National Census found these were the most common languages spoken in the community.
