Cranbrook RCMP believes a housefire that left one person dead was an arson.
Firefighters responded to the blaze in the early morning hours of Oct. 18.
Two residents escaped the home and were treated and released, but a third individual succumbed to their injuries.
The Cranbrook RCMP’s investigation found it was human-caused.

“We will be submitting a disclosure package to crown counsel with a recommendation of charges with that,” said Staff Sgt. Barry Graham.
The fire also damaged the two neighbouring homes.
