The Ghostrider Adventure Camp Foundation is being given $1,500 to support two at-risk children to attend a one-week camp at no cost.

$2,000 will go to the Elk Valley Youth Pride Project to increase youth programs and the Fernie Volleyball Club is getting $3,000 for a fabric sail shade for the outdoor beach volleyball courts.

Other programs receiving funds are the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy ($1,712.58), Fernie Elks Lodge ($2,000) and the Joan Delich Kindergym Society ( $1,500).

Applications totalled over $18,000 and were evaluated by the Discretionary Grants Committee.
