Police are looking for witnesses to a head-on collision that killed one woman and left three people seriously injured near Cranbrook on Boxing Day.

BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) officials say the crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. on December 26 along Highway 3/95 near Stropky Road when a southbound black Cadillac Escalade collided with a northbound red Honda CRV.

Police say a 64-year-old woman from Grand Forks who was the passenger in the Honda CRV died in the crash, while the CRV driver and two passengers in the Cadillac Escalade were seriously injured.

“BC Highway Patrol is asking anyone who saw the events leading up to this collision to speak with us about what happened, and we are especially interested in any dash camera video,” said Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol.
