2025 Resident Directed Grant applications open

Resident Directed Grant (ReDi Grant) applications are now open for organizations working on projects to benefit their community.

Grants are administered by the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) and funded by the Columbia Basin Trust.

“ReDi Grants support projects that benefit the broad community and public good through community-based decision-making and ensuring an opportunity for resident input on projects,” said the RDEK.

“This program is funded by the Trust and delivered in partnership with local governments and First Nations.”

Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Monday, February 10.

Once applications close, a series of community meetings will go ahead to give residents an opportunity to learn more about the projects and have a say on where funding will go.

Municipalities and electoral districts will send their funding recommendations to the RDEK by May, with recipients to be announced in June.
