RDEK seeking Volunteer of the Year applications

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is seeking applications for its annual Electoral Area Volunteer of the Year Awards.

RDEK officials say they are looking for outstanding residents to recognize through its awards.

Nominees must be full-time residents of an electoral area, not in an incorporated municipality, such as Fernie, Cranbrook or Kimberley.

The nominations must be for people who voluntarily contribute to the spirit, culture, or people of their community.

“Help us both recognize and celebrate those special people who go above and beyond for the benefit of those around them,” said the RDEK.

Nomination forms can be found here or at the RDEK office and applications will be accepted until February 4.
