Highway 95A has reopened following a fatal collision yesterday evening.

Police say a northbound pickup truck lost control and struck a southbound car near the Wycliffe Four Corners on Dec. 22.

The 64-year-old driver of the car was killed.

Police believe the road conditions were a factor as it was extremely icy at the time of the collision.

No alcohol or drugs are believed to have played a role.

The Kimberley RCMP says they don’t believe there was any criminality involved and the family is receiving support through Victim Services.

The highway was closed for approximately six hours.
