The Fernie Ghostriders are looking to get back in the win column after a tough two games over the weekend.
The Ghostriders lost 3-2 to the Golden Rockets and 3-2 to the Columbia Valley Rockies.
Head coach Chad Scharff says they simply played poorly.
“Not good enough, plain and simple,” he said.
“It was a very disappointing weekend for us. We have to give credit to the other teams they battled us hard and played well enough to win but at the end of the day we weren’t good enough and we know we can be a lot better than what we showed. Back to the drawing board.”
The Ghostriders are now heading on the road to face the Merritt Centennials and Kelowna Chiefs and Scharff is hoping this can be a reset for the team.
“I think it’s good timing for us to get on the road for three days and bond a little as a group. Sometimes these road trips are the best thing for your team,” he said.
“To get away from everything and get away from the noise. Hopefully, we’ll win some road games in two tough buildings.”
The Ghostriders are 7-4-1-1 on the season for fourth in the Eddie Mountain Division.
