The District of Sparwood will be hosting a town hall meeting later this month to discuss ongoing projects and the work they’ve been doing over the past year.
Mayor David Wilks says they will talk about future projects but they also want to showcase the busy year it’s been in Sparwood.
“We sell ourselves short sometimes on the hard work that staff does and what we as a whole have accomplished over the last year,” he added.
“In the last year we’ve had Pizza Hut open, McDonald’s open, Canco open, we’ve solidified the land sale for FR Rentals and solidified the sale of land and the building of Westwood Subdivision. That’s pretty impressive for a small town like this.”
The district will be circulating a public survey ahead of the meeting to see which topics the community wants to hear more about.
The meeting is expected to take place on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Leisure Centre Community Hall.
