Residents can get to know who is running in the Kootenay-Rockies in the 2024 provincial election at an all-candidates forum set to go ahead in early October.
The event is organized by JCI Kootenay and will be held in the Key City Theatre.
The forum will give voters a chance to know the candidates’ platforms and ask questions.
“It’s open to everyone and there is no cost to get in,” said Dan Crema, JCI Kootenay volunteer.
“We strive to be unbiased and give all candidates the same opportunity to speak and to be heard.”
Questions can be submitted anonymously to [email protected] or the JCI Kootenay Facebook Page by 11:59 a.m. on Oct. 7.
You can also provide questions in person.
“Just before the forum, the candidates will be in the lobby of the Key City Theatre so the public will have the opportunity to meet them face to face. At this time, questions will be received for consideration in the forum,” said Crema.
A recording of the forum will be posted to JCI Kootenay’s social media after the event.
The forum will go ahead on Monday, Oct 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cranbrook’s Key City Theatre.
