The Southeast Fire Centre has issued an area restriction around the Lost Dog wildfire northwest of Wasa.
Only those authorized by the BC Wildfire Service can enter the boundary.

The lightning-caused fire has grown to approximately 651 hectares since being discovered on July 20.
BC Wildfire Service officials said direct attack suppression on the north flank was successful and it kept the fire south of Skookumchuck Creek.
Crews have established containment guards to the west and south of the fire.
