A wildfire has sparked northeast of Cranbrook and Kimberley in the Top of the World Provincial Park.
The fire was discovered on the morning of July 17 and has already grown to 40 hectares.
It is considered out of control, but no evacuation orders or alerts are in place.
The BC Wildfire Service believes it was caused by dry lightning.

Another fire has been sparked southeast of Moyie near Cherry Lake.
It was discovered around noon on July 17 but is under a hectare.
The cause is still under investigation.
