Cranbrook RCMP has identified suspects believed to be involved in the fire at Amy Woodland Elementary School on Sunday.
Cranbrook RCMP officials said first responders jumped into action shortly after 4:15 a.m. and found flames on the outside of the building’s gymnasium.
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services was on the scene with 19 firefighters and four pieces of apparatus when police arrived.

Police have been investigating ever since and surveillance footage pointed to a suspicious cause behind the fire.
“As a result of releasing the video to the public, persons of interest have been identified,” said Cranbrook RCMP Spokesperson Cst. Katie Forgeron.
“We want to thank everyone who called in and provided information with regard to the identity of those individuals”.
No charges have been laid for now and the investigation is ongoing.
