Bucks bring in new netminder

The Cranbrook Bucks have signed goaltender Jaden Cholette for the upcoming season.

The Gloucester, Ontario native spent last season with the Mount. St. Charles Academy program in Providence, Rhode Island.

He put up a .909 save percentage and 2.87 goals against average through 28 games.

Head coach and GM Ryan Donald expects him to be a difference-maker right out of the gate.

“Jaden is a goaltender that our staff is excited to bring to our organization. We feel that goaltending has been a position of strength for us in the past, and with Jaden joining us we believe he can emerge into a top goaltender in this league over time,” he said.

“He has a nice mixture of positional play, athleticism and poise that makes him effective, and is a nice foundation for us to build upon during his time here in Cranbrook.”

Cholette was ranked 20th among North American goalies who are eligible for the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
