Cranbrook drivers can expect some detours as crews start work on two large paving projects.
The contractor started the 12th Avenue South reconstruction project today and the street is closed to all traffic between 2nd Street South and 3rd Street South.
A full road, infrastructure, and sidewalk replacement will be taking place until September.
On June 20, crews will begin milling and paving the outside lanes of Victoria Avenue as well as the intersection of 6th Street North and Slater Road/Industrial Road 1 on June 21.
Work should be wrapped up on those projects by early next week.
Drivers are asked to obey all posted signage and to watch out for flaggers.
