An armed robbery suspect is wanted by Cranbrook RCMP following an incident early Monday morning.
Police officials said the man entered a business along 2nd Street North at around 2:30 a.m. and demanded money from an employee.
The man fled on foot and remains at large.
Police describe the suspect as a 5’8” tall man with a thin build, and was wearing a black Carhart hooded sweatshirt, black hat, bandana covering his face and carrying a tan backpack at the time of the robbery.
RCMP officials have investigated video surveillance footage and are asking for public assistance in finding the suspect.
“If you have any information about this matter, or are able to identify the person in the photo we ask that you call the local office at 250-489-3471,” said RCMP officials.
