The reminder comes as summer-like temperatures are expected in this week’s forecast.
Cranbrook’s Public Library and Western Financial Place give residents, visitors, and those most vulnerable a place to cool down in the summer or warm up in the winter.
“Both the Cranbrook Public Library and Western Financial Place will act as cooling centres for those who need get out of the heat this summer,” said city officials. “Both facilities will be open during regular operating hours for those who need it.”
The city also has outdoor water fountains in Idlewild and Rotary Parks and a spray park for kids.
