The Golden-Field RCMP is urging residents to be cautious regarding Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency scams.
Police said that most Bitcoin transactions are not associated with criminal activity, but it has become a new medium to scam people.
You should never transfer Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency to people you don’t know.
Government agencies will also never ask for payment in Bitcoin.
