Emergency repairs to impact water service in Cranbrook

Some Cranbrook residents will be without water for two days as crews complete emergency infrastructure repairs.

City officials said the work will happen along 7th Street South between 11th Avenue South and 14th Avenue South.

Work will start at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and last until 4 p.m. on Friday.

Residents are urged to prepare for the service outage.

“City staff will be knocking on doors of those residents who will be impacted today and will leave an information sheet behind,” said city staff.

“Those residents who will be without water are asked to please fill water storage containers to use while this work is completed.”

Once service is restored, you may notice some discoloured water as the lines become charged.

The city asks you to keep an eye out for equipment and crew members in the area.

“Please obey any signage or directions from staff working in the area,” said city officials.
