Fernie residents can expect to see street sweepers out in full force as the city begins its spring cleanup.
Over the next few weeks, crews will be working through each neighbourhood.
Residents who have already been doing their own spring cleaning can leave collected winter sand along the curb to be picked up by a sweeper.
However, sand must be evenly distributed at the roadside and residents are asked to avoid dumping sand in already swept areas or down catch basins.
