Kimberley and Marysville residents will have an opportunity to learn about a proposed private school which will have an emphasis on high-level athletics.
The information session will have a presentation about the project, followed by a question and answer period. Also, Purcell International Education (PIE) said a live stream would be available to those not able to attend.
The location for the project is slated to take up part of the Kimberley Golf Course and adjacent lands, which Council recently approved map changes to allow further development to the plan.
PIE said it will have an emphasis on international students, with roughly one-third of the student body being from Canada and the United States.
It added that while most students will come from outside of B.C., the school will still provide sports facilities for the public to use.
“Anyone interested in learning more about PIE’s international boarding school, Purcell Colligate, is welcome and encouraged to attend,” Said Duncan MacLeod, President of PIE.
The information session is scheduled for December 5, 2019, in Kimberley’s Mckim Middle School at 7:00 P.M. Questions can be brought up in person or emailed to [email protected].
