Over the last few weeks, Cranbrook RCMP said they have received an abnormal number of overnight fuel theft reports.
Police said targeted vehicles include Commercial vehicles and vehicles parked at local Car Dealerships.
Cranbrook RCMP added that it believes that the culprits have been drilling holes into the gas tank and draining fuel into a container.
Police are asking that anyone with information into the incidents to contact Cranbrook RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
