Kimberley RCMP Investigating ATM Theft

Police in Kimberley are investigating a break, enter and theft that took place at a business on Wallinger Avenue on the morning of November 22nd.

Kimberley RCMP said that suspects entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of money from an ATM. It added that thieves cut the machine open to access the cash inside. Police believe the theft took place after the business closed the night of November 21st and the following morning.

“It’s apparent to investigators that this was planned theft as they used very specialized tools,” said Kimberley RCMP. “Suspects were also able to disable the surveillance cameras.”

It added that the Forensic Identification Section investigated the scene.

Police ask those that may have information to contact Kimberley RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
