The Elk Valley RCMP is searching for a man from Fernie who was last pinged in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A Fernie employer contacted the police after Bradley MacDonald failed to show up to work after a reported trip to the United States.
Police say MacDonald never made it across the border and his cell phone was last pinged in Halifax.
MacDonald is described as a white male, age 44, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 210-220 lbs.
He has brown hair, blue eyes and often wears glasses.
Police said he has ties to Ontario and tends to move around the country suddenly and may have moved to Halifax.
Police are looking to get in contact with MacDonald to make sure of his well-being.
The Halifax Regional Police have been contacted and are assisting in the investigation.
