Tourists and residents of Yahk may soon see the old Yahk Hotel opened once more.
The Yahk-Kingsgate Community Club is hoping that renovations will start soon on the structure that sits off Highway 3-95.
“We’re trying to get it back into the state it was in a number of years ago,” said Community Club President Dave St. Germain. “It had a balcony on the front and a big deck.”
Plans for the building’s renovations include several attractions for both locals and visitors.
“I think the plans are to perhaps have a little restaurant with some souvenirs,” said St, Germain.
The original hotel was built in 1912.
