Snowfall warning issued for the Elk Valley

A snowfall warning is in place for the Fernie area, as Environment Canada predicts up to 15 centimetres of snow to fall by Friday morning.

Environment Canada officials said the snow is coming thanks to a cold front sweeping across B.C.’s interior.

The snowfall is expected to begin on Thursday morning and become heavier at night before easing off by Friday.

Drivers are asked to adjust to the road conditions, especially in heavy snow, as visibility may be reduced.
